Pronghorn Antelope-Badlands National Park

Pronghorn Antelope-Badlands National Park

A pronghorn antelope surveys the plains for possible danger in Badlands National Park near Wall, South Dakota. I have an appreciation for wildlife photographers, sometimes a nice shot like this just presents itself, but more often than not, great shots are a result of spending a good deal of time out in the elements in the same places animals like to spend their time. I like to get up early, even on vacation, so while my lovely wife was still sleeping, I was out getting some shots of wildlife you don’t see in Minnesota. Badlands National Park bathed in the gold of an early morning sun really is beautiful, if you ever get the chance to pass through during the “golden hour” after sunrise or before sunset, do it, and bring your camera, you won’t regret it.
